Nevermind, i found a workaround that problem... just add a few spaces at the begining of the word and at the end, and the text is centered :P

Hi Scot, i have another question :)

Is there a way to change the alignment of the text? Right now if you type a 4 letter word for example, it streches it evenly between the 3 points... what if i want that text centered on the path, not distributed along the entire path?
Right now it's like the text is justified

Best regards :)

Great job, even though on the 1st version of your '<a href="http://blog.tsclausing.com/post/40" rel="nofollow">Warping Text in Flex</a>' the leading of the text looks much better!

Hi all;

Nice piece of code! I've added 1 line of code on TextPath.as. At the first line after opening the handleMouseMoveEvent function (line 430), I've added the code [ event.stopImmediatePropagation(); ].
This code allows you to call the class through code constructor and add a custom drag and drop function into it. Without this piece of code, adding drag and drop would unable the 3 dragable handles of the text.

Thanks for sharing!
Best Regards :)

Thanks Scot, your code really helped me.

By the way, a little improvement from me :)
If you try to bring third dot near first one, you can see that some Letters are cut.
If this issue causes problems just change UITextField to TextField in TextPathCharacter.as ;)

This is great work, and I look forward to going through the source code.

If, however, you just need to curve the text on a circle, I have a couple of blog posts covering that:
